Smaragdlaan

This complex was built in 1978 and we recently renovated it in October 2003.
The building has 100 single room apartments and is situated near sport facilities and a shopping mall. It is approx. 10-15 minutes by bike to the central train station and the city centre. Public transport is close at hand.
About 75 apartments are used as temporary accommodation for international students and trainees.

Specifics

• Each apartment has a separate kitchen, shower and toilet and a terrace with a beautiful view over Leiden 
• The total surface of most apartments is about 40 m², some are larger
• The apartments are basically furnished and kitchenware is provided
• Some apartments are for one person, most are suitable for 2 people, however a separate bedroom is usually not available
• There is a launderette with washing machines and dryers on the ground floor
• There is one internet connection available in each apartment. This service is provided by Lijbrandt Telecom. The only thing you need, is a UTP cable
• The TV and telephone connections are also provided by Lijbrandt Telecom. The use of these facilities is not included in the rent

Rent

• The rent includes basic furniture, water, gas, electricity, internet and use of laundry facilities
• Single apartments cost approx. ?600 per month
• The rent for two-person apartments range from ?675 - ?750 per month

Inventory

It is not allowed to place extra inventory in your apartment or anywhere in the building, due to regulations from the fire department.
